Hello! I'm Sunilda “Suni” Sweeney. I am amazed at how my life has unfolded, leading me to a peaceful existence with the love of my life, centered around wellness and fitness.
From a young age, I faced despair, dreaming only of the safety and peace I now enjoy. Despite a humble background with limited education and nutrition, my mother's bravery in immigrating from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico saved us from poverty.
As the middle child and eldest daughter with five brothers, one deceased, and three sisters, our move to Puerto Rico marked a turning point. Witnessing my stepfather's abuse was a harrowing experience, prompting my siblings and me to leave for the USA.
Arriving in the USA at 11, I faced the challenge of learning a new language, starting from scratch without parental support. Despite the hardships, I persevered, excelling academically and earning scholarships.
Driven by a desire for a better life, I joined the military, honing my work ethic and discipline as a mechanic and paratrooper until medical discharge due to asthma.
Transitioning to civilian life, I excelled in a restaurant job before realizing my ambition to become an entrepreneur. Moving to Miami, I initially indulged in a party lifestyle, later recognizing the need for change.
After a tumultuous relationship, I found myself restarting in my 30s, using my frustrations as motivation to create a successful shoe store and embrace fitness. Through dedication and hard work, I ventured into fitness competitions, achieving success but ultimately deciding to step away from bodybuilding.
Combining my love for fitness with discipline, I ventured into online wellness coaching, helping others lead healthier lives regardless of their background.
